The Road

This movie featuring Viggo Mortinsen and some kid who's name i cannot remember, is about a father and sons travels through a post apocalyptic america. Almost everyone is dead, city's are burnt to the ground, and cannibal gangs roam the streets preying on survivors. the father and sons mission is to go south, reason being it is too cold where they are now.

I am currently reading the book from which the movie came, it is written by Cormac McCarthy it is very good and the movie was adapted perfectly. And if you don't like it, compare it to 2012 and see which one you like better, you'll come to your senses.

the men who stare at goats

i really expected alot more from this movie, its like paying $1000 to go to a zero gravity room, and the person you pay takes you to a pool. depressing right? I know.

George Clooney stars as Lynn Cassidy, a "Jedi Warrior" trained by the us government to use peace and gentleness, not violence, to win wars. I have to admit, there were some funny parts. but most of it was garbage. The opening line which states "more of this is real than you think" makes you want to keep watching, but it just sucks you into an abyss of crap. There were only 5 people in the theatere when i went to see it.

The Box

This was one of the more bizarre movies i have seen in a while, there are alot of twists. i was so amazed that i almost puked like 6 times. But anyway, this movie was actually adapted from a short story titled "button,button". i really didn't expect it to be a short story, considering all the twists and mystery and what not, but whoever wrote it must be a genius. The movie itself is astounding, it gives you a look into the life of a couple living paycheck to paycheck. and one morning, a mysterious visitor leaves a box on their doorstep. only to return just as mysteriously and offer them one million dollars and the responsibility of the death of another human being. It took a while to get going, but when it did my skull almost caved in from shear awesomeness. From what i can see this movie had just one flaw, it was supposed to be set in the 60's and i really did not get that out of the film. i give it a 7 out of a potential 10.

The Hurt Locker

I just saw this movie on Sunday and i really liked it. It tells the story of a man in the US army that disarms bombs. Not only is this movie very intense but it is also funny, disturbing, and sad. The quote at the beginning of the movie really ties the end together and actually represents what the movie is all about. heres the quote: the rush of battle is a potent and often lethal addiction, for war is a drug. You'll see why if you go and see the movie, which you should. 8 out of 10

Zombieland

Hi everyone, its been a while since I last wrote. okay so heres the situation, in a post apocalyptic world, a young boy named columbus, ohio (they never give his real name in the movie) has survived the zombie apocolypse and is now fighting to survive. On his way to Columbus, Ohio (the real place) he meets a man named tallahse, florida and they team up to fight off the undead hordes that now patrol what used to be the United States of America.

This movie does sound like one of the depressing, everyone kills themselfs for fear of being ripped limb from limb. But its not, its very funny and i daresay upbeat in some parts. there was almost no flaws and i guess i can safley give it an 8 out of a potential 10. go see this movie.

District 9

a movie polished with amazing CGI and tailored with blood, gore and suspence, district nine offers a unique view into the life of MNU worker Wilkus Van DeMerwe. Ever sice the aliens landed in Johannesburg, they have been held in district 9, a slum with underground rulers, witch doctors and of course aliens, lots and lots of aliens. But when a new better camp is put up for these aliens, or "prawns" as the peolple of Johannesburg more commonly call them, is set up to rid the city of them. Wlikus's job is to evict these aliens from their current homes in district 9. But its not as easy as it sounds. there is danger at every turn. and gangs everwhere. This was an amazing movie and if you have the oppritunity to see it, please do. And as the movies wears on, you will find that there are alot of secrets in district 9.

This guy should get paid extra

The typical soccer ref just walks around giving penalties, well, so does this one. But he has a very unique style of doing it. I have put the original and the light saber remix on. Enjoy!

Public Enemies

This classy gangster film takes a look at bank robber, John Dillenger, at the hight of his carrer.
After a 10 year sentence to jail, he is relased and the world has very much changed. Thats basically the movie in a nutshell. It was a very classic movie of cops and robbers chasing each other. Prehaps, to classic. It might remind one of the older gangster melodrama movies. Thanks to the stellar cast and good action moments, i am going to give it a 7 out of a potential 10.

Bruno

Well, as you know im way underage to see this movie. But i wanted to tell all of you what kind of buzz its getting so far. Ticket sales were less on the second day then the first day it came out, and apparently that is very rare for a comedy to do. And who can we thank for this big drop in sales, technolagy, of corse. Celebrity twitterers say that the movie is not that good, causing people to not see it. People are also saying that one of the stunts in perticular, the one where Bruno interviews a terrorist, is staged. but recently he appered on the David Letterman show asurring everyone it was all real.

night at the museum: battle of the smithsonian

Well, i just watched it and it was pretty crappy. Lets recap where we left off on the last movie. Ben Stiller (Larry Dayley) just made the museum a big hit in new york, and now we return and it is shutting down after a year. and this is all because Stiller quit his job there. Its funny how a museum can compleatly go down after loosing just one night guard. I also thought the movie was a bit fast as well, its not even an hour in and Stiller is fighting an egypt king that is back from the dead. It did have its moments though, some parts were funny. In conclusion i would have to give this movie a 6 out of a potential 10.

The Godfather

Last night i watched the first godfather and i was absolutly stunned. of course i had already heard good things about it, you know, being the greatest mafia film of all time, and maybe one of the greatest movies scince the invention of moving pictures. and i dont really know what else to say, I cant say anything bad about it. but i could probably write until im dead about the good things. This movie is prefect.

possible dave ghrol supergroup?

apparently Foo Fighters front-man Dave Ghrol, is hooking up with Josh Homme and John Paul to form a group. This sounds like it might be big later on because the group is just starting out. i hope we can all hear from them soon.

Virgin Mobile Festival

virgin mobile fest. will be coming to calgary on august 8-9. there will be alot of great bands there such as pearl jam, metric, k-os, and white lies. im really pumped seeing as i might be going for my birthday.

twisted wonderland

I just read that Tim Burton will be coming out with his own version of Alice in Wonderland. To me, I belive it will be just another cheerful disney movie turned into a depressing world with creepy charactors.

Transformers: Rise of The Fallen

i just saw this movie 2 days ago. i thought the actions scenes in both movies are very confusing because you cannot tell who is who in the fights, to me its just a mix of metal and sparks. the movie was also a bit to long, it just goes off for 3 hours and then just abruptly stops, strongly hinting a sequel. and what i also dont get about the movie is the fact that the autobots wont leave earth. the so called "all spark" has been found and destroyed but they will not leave. Out of 10 i give it a 6.

what a week

as you all probably know by now, michael jackson, fara fausset, and ed mcman are all dead. I guess this lives up to the saying that celebrities all die in groups of three. i really cant think of anything else to say on the topic.

Land of the Lost

adapted from the popular saturday morning show starring Westley Eure, Kathy Coleman, and
Philip Paley. and now the movie starring Will Farrel, Danny Mcbride, Anna Friel, and Jorma Taccone hit theaters and i had to see it. It turned out to be a great movie with a good mix of humor and drama all in one, there was even some romance. I give it 3 and a half out of a potential 5 stars, and would recommed it to anyone who is looking for a good watch or movie night.

mouri warrior vs. shoulin monk

this was probably to simalar to the samuri vs. gladiator episode for me. it just came down to raw power against technique. i still liked it but it, the weapons and attitude was better between the 2 warriors. who won? I will save the drama and tell you the monk won (darn japs!) but it came to a very close battle. i would have to say if the monk did not have all his martial art skills he would have gotten pwnd.

promising new tv show?

well i was watching the tube last night and a new show came on called deadliest warrior the show basically pits two of the most known fighters against eachother. so far i think the shows have been. apache vs. gladiator (apache wins), spartan vs. ninja (spartan wins), samurai vs. viking (samuri wins), mafia vs yakuza (mafia wins), pirate vs. night (pirate wins), and finally spetnaz vs. green berret (spetnaz wins). the show is on spike tv tuesdays at 8 to 9.

ok, sorry i have not been on for a while but i was in florida, yea, exiting, but lets not dwell on the topic. so the office and 30 rock, two of my favorite shows, ended last night with a bang. in 30 rock jack donagee funds a concert to get his dad a kidney. its a very funny scene you can search it up on youtube if you want. and the office had alot of good things to end the season! well mainly only one, PAM IS PREGNET, which came as a shock to me because this is so early on in their relanionship and they havent even had a wedding yet!

expectations for x men origins: wolverine

well well well, look what the hollywood dragged in. x men origins wolverine (XMOW) is coming out today and I am crapping myself im so exited! my expectations for the movie are that it is going to be a good story, because wolverene is the best x men, and because i have always wanted to get a better look a this past. it looks roughly like the story is about sabertooth, who is made to be his equal, kills his women and wolverene goes on a huge revenge spree to try and avenge her. speaking of avengers, th enew movie is coming out this summer! but anyways i think it will be a great story with alot of action and good scenes* but i am really exited to see it and ill post a review as soon as i get back from seeing it bye!

hey all, just got back from seeing ben button, great movie. i really liked how it all ended and the story was great. at first i thought i was in the wrong theater because it starts with bens daughter and, well, girlfriend i guess you could say. but at that point you dont know that. but when it all unravels and everything becomes a bit more clear it is a really great movie! i hope that you guys can go and see it sometime. its amazing. on a scale of one to ten i give it an 8 and a half, cause its just that good.

morning breath?

hey, as you know even the best of of get really bad morning breath sometimes, admit it we do. so i come up with an idea that can change that. ok, heres how it works, befor you go to bed you put this little pill kinda thing in your mouth, then you set it for a certain time, like an alarm clock but smaller. then when that time rolls around when you probably wake up, it distributes an amount of breath freshener to your mouth so you dont have to take time out of your day to brush your teeth!
